Sinclair User September 1984 included comments on the fate of Imagine, Rabbit Software and Carnell Software.

There was no “partnership” with senior members of Mastertronic, merely an understanding that the games might be published. There was no trace of Innovisions when I began working at Mastertronic in August 1985

There was also an editorial suggesting that the games industry was going through inevitable pains of maturation and that Carnell was lucky to have found a saviour.
